7 week - Wheel Throwing Pottery Course - for Adults
7 x 2hour session for 6 participants - Every Thursday 6-8pm

Place: Studio Kilcoole, Co. Wicklow
This course is focused on wheel throwing for beginners and intermediates. You will be taught how to wedge and prepare your clay. Centre and throw simple shapes like cylinders and bowls. You will learn to trim/turn your pieces to create footrings and add pulled handles to make a mug or a jug. Participants with previous experience will be guided to do bigger pieces and lidded forms.
Participants can keep up to 5 medium size pieces that will be able to decorate with coloured slips or underglazes. The work will then be glazed, fired and arranged to be collected 6-8 weeks after the end of the course.
The price includes teaching, materials, firings - 5 fired pieces (medium size).

Please bring with you an apron and a small towel.
In case of cancelation we can provide full refund if 5 days notice is given. If you cannot attend the course, you will still be able to transfer your place to another person by sending us an email with all the details before course commense.
