7 week - Wheel Throwing Pottery Course - for Adults 
7 x 2hour sessions for 6 participants
 
The weekly classes are booked up with returning students, but every now and then a spot becomes available. Students who have already attended a Taster Class get priority for these spaces.

Place: Studio Kilcoole, Co. Wicklow
 
This course is focused on wheel throwing for beginners and intermediates. You will be taught how to wedge and prepare your clay. Centre and throw mugs, bowls, jugs. You will learn to trim/turn your pieces to create footrings and add pulled handles. As classes progress (intermediates, advanced) you will be introduced to more challenging shapes and techiniques like lidded jars, dishes, vases, bigger bowls etc. 
Participants can keep up to 6 medium size pieces that will be able to decorate with coloured slips or underglazes. You will then learn to wax footrings, prepare and glaze your pieces.
 
The price includes tuition, materials, firings - 6 fired pieces (medium size).
